Devon Shalmi, a 42-year-old Boca Raton-area pickleball player, was arrested on Sept. 8 and accused of running an illegal online sports betting operation. He faces charges of bookmaking, money laundering and operating a gambling house.
According to Bonus.com, the case grew out of a 13-month undercover probe by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics and Money Laundering Unit and the Broward County Sheriff’s Office Organized Crime Task Force. A confidential informant first tipped investigators to Shalmi in 2025, and detectives carried out more than 30 operations during the inquiry. Investigators alleged that Shalmi was the administrator and operator of Allgames365.com and that he provided betting accounts with credit lines ranging from $1,500 to $5,000.
The investigation focused on alleged unlicensed sportsbook activity, payment transfers through Zelle, Venmo and Cash App, and more than $3 million in traced transactions. Investigators said those payments were routed to ILSJSF Solutions, a Boca Raton company, which they said received over $3 million during the probe. The source report also said Shalmi met undercover officers at the Dixon Pickleball Club in Deerfield Beach during cash exchanges.
The case remains at the allegation stage. Shalmi’s attorney, Guy Fronstin, said, “We are reviewing the allegations and evidence and look forward to presenting Mr. Shalmi’s defenses in court.” The same report noted that the Palm Beach Post had previously reported Shalmi and seven others were charged in 2017 with running an illegal sports gambling ring from 2013 to 2015, and that he later pleaded to money laundering and received five years of probation. His first court hearing is scheduled for Oct. 10.
