PlayCity has fined an online gambling operator UAH 4.3 million after an unscheduled inspection found that a player had topped up a gaming account with money from a third party’s bank card. The breach came to light after a complaint from one of the players.
Delo.ua reported that the regulator said operators must ensure proper control over payment operations and must not allow the use of someone else’s payment instruments.
As covered in July, PlayCity had already fined the Betking operator over a similar breach involving third-party card deposits.
Since the start of 2026, the regulator has carried out seven scheduled inspections and four unscheduled inspections. The agency was created in 2025 to replace KRAIL and works under the Ministry of Digital Transformation, with a mandate that includes regulating the gambling market, fighting illegal casinos and supporting online monitoring.
