Walker Digital Table Systems has agreed to integrate BurraPay’s Direct-to-Device cryptocurrency-payment technology into its Perfect Pay smart-table platform, a planned step that could allow players to fund table-game wagering accounts in cryptocurrency while at the table.

The system is intended to remove the need to visit a casino cage or cashier. BurraPay’s technology can also be used to fund slot machines and gaming terminals directly, and the company says it is designed to reduce lengthy waits associated with crypto payments. The companies said the arrangement would make WDTS the first table-games management platform to offer BurraPay’s Direct-to-Device service to casino customers.

WDTS has technology deployed on more than 5,000 gaming tables across Asia, Australia and North America, according to Asia Gaming Brief. Yet no casino has been identified as a customer for the proposed integrated system, and the companies have not announced a launch date.

The service would remain subject to gaming-regulatory approval in each jurisdiction. BurraPay says its platform performs anti-money-laundering checks and blockchain-transaction monitoring, with compliance checks intended to operate in the background. It also says its patented system was engineered to meet standards required by US gaming regulators.

The regulatory qualification is significant in a market where cryptocurrency use in gambling remains limited. A 2024 University of Nevada, Las Vegas and International Center for Gaming Regulation study described crypto implementation in gambling as a relatively new practice regulated by only a select group of jurisdictions. It recommended prior regulator approval for new payment methods, as well as regulated crypto-payment providers and continuing AML and counter-terrorist-financing controls.

BurraPay already has a Nevada precedent outside table games. In June, it said it had become the first cryptocurrency-payments processor approved for Nevada’s regulated gaming market and processed what it described as the state’s first legal crypto-funded sports wager at Circa Resort & Casino on June 4. That sports-betting deployment does not establish approval for the proposed Perfect Pay integration.

WDTS and BurraPay plan to demonstrate the integration at WDTS’s Las Vegas headquarters during the G2E trade show, which runs from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1.
