Dataworks Group Limited has secured a $1.5 million unsecured working-capital facility from Stroud Agricultural Company, as trustee for the Vernon Trust. The loan runs for three months and carries interest at 18% a year.
According to TipRanks, principal and interest are due at maturity or earlier. Dataworks said it will use the funds for working capital, business development and mobilisation costs for new customer contracts.
The company said the facility supports its growth strategy without diluting shareholders or giving lenders security over assets. Management said it strengthens near-term liquidity and helps the business maintain delivery on current programs while responding to potential new contract requirements.
Separate from the financing, Dataworks said it runs major self-exclusion platforms for gambling regulators. Its annual report says the company operates BetStop, Australia’s National Self-Exclusion Register, as a centralised self-exclusion platform for problem gamblers.
BetStop allows users to self-exclude from all iGaming service providers for a minimum of three months and up to a lifetime. The annual report says it is operated on behalf of the Australian Government through the Australian Communications and Media Authority.
In March 2025, Dataworks secured a two-year extension of its exclusive BetStop contract from ACMA. The annual report says the renewal runs until at least June 2027 and is expected to generate at least $4.25 million in annual revenue.
Operationally, the platform has registered more than 45,000 people and currently has over 30,000 active self-exclusions. It has also completed more than 28 billion verification checks since launch in August 2023.
Performance has remained high, according to the annual report, with average response times of under 5 milliseconds, 100% system uptime since inception, and integration with 202 licensed operators, 149 of them currently active.
TipRanks also described Dataworks as a regulated gaming technology provider running Australia’s BetStop National Self-Exclusion Register and Ontario’s BetGuard platform. It said the company’s self-exclusion platforms are deeply integrated with more than 230 major wagering operators and have processed tens of billions of real-time exclusion checks.
